TREKKING ITINERARY
Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
- Begin the trek through the dense rainforest.
- Spot exotic flora and fauna.
- Reach Machame Camp at 2,835 meters (9,300 feet).
Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
- Hike through moorlands with stunning views.
- Cross streams and open ridges.
- Arrive at Shira Camp at 3,750 meters (12,300 feet).
Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower
- Acclimatization day with a climb to Lava Tower (4,630 meters / 15,190 feet).
- Descend to Barranco Camp at 3,960 meters (13,000 feet).
- Experience dramatic landscape changes and spectacular views.
Day 4: Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp
- Navigate the Barranco Wall, a thrilling scramble.
- Cross the Karanga Valley.
- Reach Barafu Camp at 4,650 meters (15,250 feet).
Day 5: Summit Day - Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
- Midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters / 19,341 feet).

- Descend to Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters (10,170 feet) for rest.
Day 6: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Included in the 6-Day Climb of Mount Kilimanjaro via Machame Route:
